Tom Cruise: Still Executing the Suppressive
Person Doctrine
Rob Driscoll, in The Western Mail, as reported on icWales September 17, 2004:
|
"Vincent is complex, and angry, and damaged, and flawed," says Cruise
of his latest character.
"That's what's most interesting about him to me. It wasn't like I wanted
to play a villain. I get offered a lot of different things and I just had a visceral
reaction to this character.
"Vincent is an anti-social person, no question. And to be truthful, about
two-and-a-half per cent of the population is anti-social.
"I'm sure all of us to some degree have felt that in our lives, there
are different people that just bring about chaos…”

This is Tom Cruise, the Psychiatrist, talking. His psychiatric knowledge, or
truthfulness, that 2 ½ percent of the population is antisocial, or SP,
comes right out of the psychiatric case of L. Ron Hubbard.
As earlier quoted, Hubbard wrote in his bulletin “The Antisocial Personality
The Anti-Scientologist:”
|
As they only comprise 20% of the population and as only 2½% are truly
dangerous, we see that with a very small amount of effort we could considerably
better the state of society.

Hubbard wrote in a policy letter dated December 26, 1966, “PTS Sections,
Personnel and Execs:”
|
Don't be nice. Limit their reach. And have less noncompliance and a far more
effective and happier org. After all, real suppressives only constitute about
2 ½ percent of the total population. Why spend more than 2 ½ percent
of your time on them?
The whole stunt is realizing that certain groups are SP and recognizing them
and then handling them.

Hubbard, in his bulletin dated November 1, 1974, revised September 5, 1978,
“Rock Slams and Rock Slammers:
|
In a normal group of 400, the actual percentage of R/Sers is low. It's about
8 in 400, or 2 - 2 1/2%. Those figures should seem familiar. They are the same
percentage for SPs. And that gives you a clue to the identification of an R/Ser.
Where requirements for Scn or SO orgs have been established for R/Ses they
apply to the 2 - 2 1/2% of real R/Sers as these are high risks for staff purposes.
— L.
Ron Hubbard

Scientology teaches that a Rock Slam or R/S is a “crazy, irregular left-right
slashing motion of the needle on the E-Meter dial.” It “means a hidden
evil intention on the subject or question under auditing or discussion.”
A Rock Slammer or R/Ser is a person who is reported by a Scientology auditor or
psychotherapist, or by security personnel, to “R/S on subjects connected
to Scientology.” The cult teaches that R/Sers
are to be located and moved off lines as their intent is solely to destroy Scientology
whatever else they say.
Scientology celebrity Marisol Nichols in the Celebrity Interview in Scientology’s
Celebrity Magazine, promoting the “How to Confront and Shatter Suppression…PTS/SP
Course:”
|
What would LRH do? He applied ethics. He applied this tech to his life 100%.
What does the tech say? ¶ LRH went through it. He isn't kidding. Call a spade
a spade. If they're suppressive, they're suppressive. Two and one half percent
is one out of forty. One out of forty people is an SP. They're not these monsters
that are out in society that you don't run into. It's the little quiet woman in
the corner that's not saying anything. One out of forty. Confront that! It's all
around you. You gotta get the hatting.

There is not the slightest doubt that what Cruise is bringing in his celebrity
interviews, and in his discussion of his role as murderer Vincent, the antisocial
bringer of chaos, is the Suppressive Person doctrine. This doctrine, while ludicrous,
is also dangerous, and particularly hazardous to people who have understood the
doctrine well enough to grasp its ludicrousness. The SP doctrine is the key to
Scientology’s apparent successes, and because of its inherent ludicrousness
and evil is also what will bring this organization to its knees.
