INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY

The following regulations apply to Intelligence sections, departments, and bureaus and any area maintaining an intelligence unit.

1) All intelligence materials, policies, Flag Orders, EDs, checksheets, hat write-ups etc or material on any intelligence course are confidential distribution only to those concerned.

2) Any instance in which “Intelligence” must be referred to broadly or on a remimeo or all staff issue, as in org board posting or staff lists, the word ‘Information’ is to be substituted. Hence D/G for Intelligence and Port Intelligence Officer become D/G for Information and Port Information Officer respectively.

3) Similarl the word “Inquiry” is substituted for “Investigation”. Hence Inquiry Officer or Inquiry Section.

The purpose of these changes is to maintain security by giving it a cover of its own and thereby (a) Keeping and (b) Safeguarding our Intelligence methods and technology by keeping access limited.
